An Associate of Investment banking

Job Description

As an Associate of Investment banking department you will:

Participate in internal educational programs, including abroad together with employees
of our 55 partners of Globalscope in 46 countries
Participate in cross-border M&A deals, with international clients and foreign investors
Participate in the «full cycle» of transactional execution including financial modeling,
preparing marketing pitches, reviewing and formulating financial analysis, preparing and presenting presentations
Have a working knowledge of the relevant industry sectors and Capital Times; product and service offerings. This person will be expected to develop expertise in the quantitative and analytical practices used to develop strategic, capital structure and valuation recommendations to clients and will work alongside senior colleagues in providing relationship support and executing transactions
Play a leadership role in implementing the execution function including working with analysts and associates, as well as, assisting more senior colleagues
Participate in building the business over the long term by developing individual expertise in an appropriate industry and contributing to enhancing the Capital Times brand

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in corporate finance, financial due diligence, strategic consulting, private equity, investment banking or related areas, participation in M&A deals and/or experience in Big-4 is a plus
Master’s degree from a leading university required, international education is a plus
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validity
Very strong financial modeling/valuation and analytical skills
Ability to comfortably interact with clients in a professional and mature manner
Outstanding ethics, integrity and judgment
Strong intellectual curiosity
Comfort in and commitment to strong teamwork environment
Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive
Excelent technology skills with superior Excel and PowerPoint skills and ability to quickly learn new software applications
Comfort in working with Ukrainian and IFRS accounting
Fluent English (including Business English), Ukrainian
Strong motivation for further professional development
